At ABA Owls we are passionate about spreading the knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and more specifically, Verbal Behaviour (VB) in an affordable manner.
We believe in providing knowledge in a practical and accessible format to parents, professionals, educators, people within the field and to individuals who are interested.
Lauren Lovegrove, BCBA
I have been working within the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour (VB) for over 10 years, starting my career within an independent charity school – specialised in ABA and VB – as a tutor until becoming supervisor and then working for an Outreach service for the same organisation. I have been involved in working within mainstream schools, training professionals and carers, starting my own independent projects such as an ABA art club and creating, tutoring and supervising ABA home programmes.
Working with parents and professionals to support these young people is a passion of mine, I feel that together we are stronger and the more consistent we are, the more successful the whole team will be. The young person is always at the core of the team and the reason I continue to work within this field.
I was fortunate enough to earn my Masters in ABA from Bangor University in 2017 and my Board Certification as a Behaviour Analyst in 2019 (BCBA).
Carla Oliveira, BCBA
I’ve been working in the ABA/VB field since 2015, have completed a masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Belfast University and I have finished my qualification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
I have had the pleasure of working with a range of different learners with different abilities, the youngest being 2 years old and the oldest being 18 years old.
Adding to my continuous interaction with a variety of pupils, my experience includes training tutors (both as a group and on a 1:1 basis) and parents, supporting education professionals in mainstream schools, developing behavioural plans and assessing children and young adults using a variety of assessment tools.
Deciding to work in Behaviour Analysis has been life changing and it has helped me to see the world differently. Coming into contact with a variety of people within this field (children, parents, professionals) has inspired me to support people to become the best version of themselves.
